Originated in Buena Park, California, by James Bacon. Introduced in 1951. Flesh has a pale yellow/green color. Matures Nov. to Jan. in Orange County and Dec. to Mar. in Ventura County, Ca. Consistent,heavy producer; frost tolerance is excellent. Bacon has a commercial background. The Bacon avocado stays green when ripe and has a good flavor.
