Malama avocado tree was developed by the Department of Horticulture, University of Hawaii. It is a regular, heavy bearer, skin is purple when ready to eat, easy to peel, The flavor of the flesh is rich, nutty and deliciously creamy. The oil content is more than 20 percent. The texture of the flesh is smooth and without fiber.
